Church Life

Fellowship

Whether a BBQ, pancake day fun or just our monthly bring & share hot lunch, we love to spend time together in fellowship and eating together!! Bring & Share lunches happen on every 1st Sunday of the month. There is always lots of food, so all are welcome to join us, even if you don’t bring anything! We really believe in fellowship and sharing all things in common (Acts 2:42) so we have tea and coffee together before and after every Sunday morning meeting. We also encourage regularly sharing meals in each other’s homes to share life together and build community.

Children & Youth

We passionately believe and pray that all our children and young people will love coming to church! Every Sunday we have Little Sparks, a led-creche for under 5s, Ablaze for our primary school aged children, and Ignite for our youth. There are also regular church events and youth times for our children and young people too. For more information, please contact us

Midweek Meetings

Church life is about far more than just Sundays! Every week we have midweek meetings together called House Groups, and these are a great opportunity to build stronger friendships as we work out together what it means to follow Jesus. Our House Groups meet every week on Wednesday unless there is a Friday Worship & Prayer Night on. At the moment we have three House Groups, one daytime group meeting in Lee Green at 1pm, and two evening groups meeting in Mottingham and Lee Green at 8pm. Once every 6 weeks or so we have a men's or women's group meeting too. Those times can take many forms, whether it's enjoying food, exploring the bible, creative prayer or having a big fire, they are always fun and inspiring times together.

If you are interested in joining in with any of our midweek meetings we'd be delighted, but please do visit us on a Sunday first, get to know us a bit, and then speak to Joel or Caz Todd about which group would be best.

Outreach

We are an outward-looking church who want to love and serve the community around us. As well as running a stay-and-play toddler group and a free community meal, we do Church On The Street regularly too - this is when we go out onto the streets to chat and pray with people in our local community over a free hot drink.

Community events are always great fun and we often run special services, Fun Days, and all sorts of outreach events at Christmas, on Pancake Day, Easter and the beginning of the Summer. We also run The Alpha Course, which is a great way to explore life's big questions through a series of engaging videos and discussion that considers the basics of the Christian faith. All are welcome, and all questions are welcome at Alpha. If you would like more information about Alpha or our upcoming events visit our Calendar page, or get in touch via contact us .

Prayer & Worship

Prayer and worship are fundamental to everything we do. We have regular morning prayer meetings from 7.30-8.00am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday & Fridays, on Zoom. In these times someone briefly shares from the Bible and then we spend time praying for the church - for any personal needs from church members, for our church life together and the various things we run. We also hold a monthly worship & prayer night at the church building and these are always wonderful times of worshipping Jesus and praying together.
