Light Party October 2021

31st October, Light Party

We had a fantastic time with our children on Sunday 31st October. Instead of celebrating darkness, we celebrated light! After the Sunday morning service, we then had a delicious church shared lunch, and then the children stayed on to watch a film with popcorn. After some lively (and competitive!) games we had fun with glow sticks including making glow stick glasses and bracelets! Finally, we moved outside to have a fire pit with toasted marshmallows, a talk about light, and then culminated with singing worship songs around the campfire and sparklers. What a day!

5th Nov, Sparkle and Glow

We did an amazing outreach on Picardy Estate on Bonfire’s night. We sang worship songs about light, and had two children’s crafts, glow sticks and sparklers. There was a huge turnout and we struggled to stay on top of the queues at the craft tables. We also took along our Prayer Tree and invited people to stick a prayer on it and ask for prayer. We continue to pray that the love of God will reach out into the estate. We are planning a Christmas Doorstep Carol Service next with a nativity trailor!
